1948 Cessna 140

For sale is my vintage Cessna taildragger. This isn’t your average 140, as this one has the much more powerful Lycoming O-290 up front making 125HP. It has fabric wings which are in good condition, no tears or patches; but some paint flaking under the fuel tanks. The aircraft is in annual and I have all logs, sparing one from the 1950’s. Engine is around 450ish TSMOH, and sure gets this little taildragger moving along quickly. She will cruise right around 100-110 MPH, and does it for about 5-6GPH. Doesn’t get much better than that for the money. the left elevator was replaced after an unrepairable crack developed in the original. The cockpit looks nearly identical to the way it would have in the year 1948 and always catches peoples eye. This aircraft gets compliments everywhere it goes, and is definitely the best bang for the buck IMO.
